This past year was the first time I signed a lease for my studio. It felt like a leap taken without guarantees — exciting, terrifying, and deeply uncertain all at once. There were many moments where I didn’t know if I was making the right choice, or if I’d be able to sustain it. I kept showing up anyway, trusting the work, even when the outcome wasn’t clear.

 

I chose to make prints of this piece because it represents the relief that comes from growth — the kind that’s built slowly, through commitment and care. All of the work that led here is something I would choose again. This painting holds that sense of arrival for me, and I hope it carries a quiet steadiness and optimism into the space it finds next.
