the path
The original "The Path" was created during a time of doubt. It felt like things were falling apart, but I didn't realize they were coming together yet. From my place of unknowing and fear, I was actually being guided to the very thing I was hoping for. What I thought were setbacks, were stepping stones.
This new series will explore those moments. The ones where life hadn't told you why yet, but now you can see it happened for a reason. The unexpected opportunities or detours that led you down a path where it all worked out as it was meant to.
So if you've experienced this in your life and would like to share your story, I would absolutely love to hear it. Whether it's a few sentences or a longer reflection, your experience may help shape the emotional direction of this new series.
-There is no expectation to purchase artwork or publicly share your story. This is an invitation to reflect and connect✨

Your Path
One of my many "The Path" stories from my life...
Two years ago, I unexpectedly lost the studio space I was painting in. I had no backup plan on where I was going, so I started desperately searching for a studio. I called every retail listing I could and nothing was coming through.
When it started to feel hopeless, so I decided to put it down for the day because there was nothing more I could do. I remember wanting to go for a hike to clear my head. So, I was in the middle of the woods on this trail when I ran into a woman I recognized. She was another small business owner and she told me she was thinking of leaving her retail space in town. She then asked if I was interested in taking the spot. And just like that, everything made sense.
It has ended up being the most amazing studio space I could have ever dreamed of.
In hindsight, how was that possible? I found what I was looking for out in the woods? I try not to question it too much and instead I just get goosebumps and joy from it all.
So here's to following The Path, to wherever it may take us.
